Tender steak and sautéed peppers atop a crisp, cheesy pizza crust for a savory treat.

# What You Need:

→ Pizza Base

01 - 1 prepared 12-inch pizza dough
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 2 tablespoons cornmeal for dusting

→ Steak & Vegetables

04 - 8 ounces ribeye steak, thinly sliced
05 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
06 - 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
07 - 1 small red bell pepper, thinly sliced
08 - 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
09 - 1 garlic clove, minced
10 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
11 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

→ Cheese & Toppings

12 - 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
13 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
14 - 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese, optional
15 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, optional

# How-To:

01 - Preheat the oven to 450°F. If using a pizza stone, place it inside to heat thoroughly.
02 - Dust a pizza peel or baking sheet with cornmeal. Stretch or roll out pizza dough to a 12-inch round and set it on the prepared surface. Brush lightly with olive oil.
03 - Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced ribeye steak and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until just browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
04 - In the same skillet, add green and red bell peppers along with the onion. Sauté for 4 to 5 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Season with kosher salt and black pepper, then remove from heat.
05 - Evenly spread half of the mixed cheeses over the pizza dough. Layer cooked steak and sautéed vegetables on top, then sprinkle remaining cheese over all.
06 - Transfer the pizza onto the hot stone or place the baking sheet into the oven. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
07 - Remove pizza from oven, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Slice and serve immediately.

# Expert Hacks:

01 -
  • It tastes indulgent but comes together faster than ordering out.
  • The steak stays tender and doesn't dry out on the crust like you might worry it would.
  • Three cheeses means every bite has that melty, layered satisfaction that makes people ask for seconds.
02 -
  • Don't skip seasoning the vegetables while they cook; waiting until the end means the salt never really penetrates them.
  • If your steak isn't sliced thin enough, it'll stay tough no matter how well you cook it—this is where a sharp knife or a freezer hack saves you.
03 -
  • A drizzle of hot cheese sauce or quick sautéed mushrooms pushed into the layers takes this from good to the kind of thing people ask you to make again.
  • Leftover roast beef works perfectly if you don't have steak, and it's often cheaper and already cooked, which means less hands-on time.
